about

Boston-based label newcomer Hausman is an extraordinary talent, whose early work suggests a promising future for the trance & progressive niche. We are thrilled to officially welcome him to our label family via the release of "Aether," his glorious new 4-track EP.

Shortly into "Aether," Hausman deploys a deep bassline, plunging the listener into the bustling blur of neon cityscapes. The energy continues to build, gradually reaching a plateau, where we are treated to majestic piano keys and breathtaking vocal effects; these atmospheric touches allow us to momentarily depart from the rush of a city scene, as the expansive track spreads out like a lush meadow. Following a buildup, the contrasting aural environments blend together organically in the ensuing drop, to energetic and truly blissful effect.

"Aurora" begins with a minimal groove, while retaining a heavy and hazy feel, akin to "Aether," its predecessor in the release tracklist. Once more Hausman incorporates an organic sound, this time in the form of a marimba-backed melody, elevating the composition to something uniquely multifaceted. At the peak of trilling trance keys, a euphonious soundscape emerges, which, in the final act, evolves into a melodically layered and atmospherically transportive drop section.

"Enmity" establishes itself with foreboding textures, before plunging deeper into the abyss, courtesy of a throbbing bassline. The listener is pulled into this track's dark aura, which gradually begins to dissipate, alongside hypnotic vocal cuts. Deep cinematic chords guide us along this haunting path towards an introspective journey, allowing us to come to terms with both the light and dark sides of our psyche.

Teaming up with 5ALVO, another gifted label newcomer (and fellow Bostonian), Hausman delivers "Erebus," an emotive trance & progressive number, highlighted by evocative chord progressions and piano keys, not to mention its future bass accents. This layered, cinematic composition represents the synchronous aural vision of two rising talents in our scene.
